Printing Services
With rising fuel costs, it's often cheaper to have us print your project right here. For larger jobs, we work with our preferred list of vendors to provide offset or another appropriate printing process. We are also happy to work with your printer on any project.
The best results will be achieved with paper weights of at least 80# (216 gsm) or 10pt C1S. Text weight stocks that are 100% cotton or 100# may also produce good results. Finishes such as vellum and felt, usually work equally well. Aqueous coatings, varnishes and high gloss coatings are not compatable with our process. We cannot scent copy paper or tissue paper. We would be happy to test additional papers for your specific project.
When possible, the scented coating should be the final process for your piece. Die-cutting generally is best done before scent application. Any equipment that touches or rubs the surface of the paper will remove some of the scent. Our pieces have been successfully ink-jet printed, sent through folding machines, and put through automatic mailing machines. We highly recommend that you test your project on any post processing equipment you plan to use to make sure the end result is acceptable.
It's important to note that scented paper should not be put through laser printers, copiers, or any heat transfer equipment. This method will not produce good results, and the fragrance oils can damage the equipment. Some clients have successfully inkjet printed addresses on the un-scented side. If your project requires post-printing, we will be happy to send you samples to test print.
